Hi

Just like a lot of people has gone through, I am having problem to upload .gif files. And i have searched the forum and finds out the new GD 2.0.28 will resume gif write.

So I download the gd 2.0.28, build it freshly and install it.
But then my PHP 4.3.8 which comes with fedora core 2 doesn't link with the new gd. And I've read a post that you need to recompile it.

I'm totally a newbie on Linux and would someone please give me some hints on this?
my gd is installed on /usr/local/gd-2.0.28

Thanks

This board doesn't specifically deal with server setup - using coppermine assumes you have a server set up properly already. I suggest you google your way to a good tutorial. Keep in mind that the current stable version of coppermine doesn't have GIF upload support, you need to apply some changes. GIF support will however return to coppermine in the next release.
