Problems configurating coppermine

I get this message after clicking let's go:

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

I have win2k apache 2 and php 4.3.9 and mysql 4.1.

What does this mean? Please explain simple as Im new at this.

It means you need to read up on how to set up your webserver.
