how do i find the proper imagemagick convert utility directory for mandrake 10.0?
imagemagick will handle gifs? and gd2 wont?

Best place to find ImageMagick information is www.imagemagick.org.  Mandrake questions probably best asked at www.mandrakesoft.com.

ImageMagick handles most popular image types, GD2 also handles popular image types.  GD v2.0.28 supports GIF creation.  Visit www.boutell.com/gd for more GD information.
