Presently, our Coppermine 1.3 is located on the Easy Cart Server. It was originally installed by Rackspace and placed on the Rackspace server, when Easy Cart still was using Rackspace.  Then Easy Cart migrated all their websites that had their shopping cart on them to their own server.(they could make more money having their own server together with their shopping cart)  We went along for the ride.  Now we find ourselves having to leave Easy Cart and move to IPowerweb.  Our new shopping cart will be Smart Cart.   We were wondering if we will have to install Coppermine 1.3 on our computer, upload it to the new server, and then upload our 400+ pictures into the new gallery.  I was hoping we could just somehow copy the gallery to our C drive, and then upload it to the new server....Any input, appreciated...

Please search the board, this is discussed often and instructions have been posted. Basically you need to copy the filesystem and database across and edit include/config.inc.php with the new db info. You also need to update your gallery to the latest stable version (1.3.5) and correct your profile information (Server OS).

Nibbler,
Would you be willing to do this for me if you were paid a fee? If you are interested, please let me know the amount you would charge....My email is slides@pointofpower.com

We want to move our gallery to IPowerWeb and set it up there....We have an account established, and plan to move our website this weekend to IPowerweb as well...

Also, you mentioned that this topic has been discussed in great detail.  What topic or area of the bulletin board would I find these detailed instructions?  Many thanks for your prompt response...
