Upload works great, but now i have the pictures 3 times (the original version, the "normal_picture" and the "thumb_picture".
Are the original pictures still necessary or may I delete them,

Take some time and search the boards before posting.  That has been asked numerous times.  It's even explained in the documentation - read it.
