Does anyone know how to remove the voting section below the images.

1) Support related question should go into the support board for your version of coppermine, the sub-board "general discussion" is not the place support requests are menat to go to (that's what the description of the sub-board clearly says as well)
2) This is already covered in detail in the documentation that comes with coppermine and that you're suppossed to read before posting questions here. It has as well been asked very often, a simple search on the forum would have told you the answer
3) Just go to "groups" and disable voting for all groups - this will hide the rating section entirely
