groupmanager will not run (anymore)

I have strange problem that may be a server problem - or something else. Could you make a guess for me?

The case is that I have great trouble in running groupmanager. First it did not run at all, then suddenly it worked for a short while, long enough for me to create some groups. But now it will not run anymore.  In Opera and Netscape the loading of groupmanager runs slowly before it stops and I get an incomplete page on the screen with only Administrators, Registrered and part of the next line - many missing groups, no buttons for create group etc. IE gives me an errorpage: this page can not be shown. All other admin tools seem to work. In debug mode no debug info at the bottom...

The server is running PHP 4.3.8

OK, this is a problem connected to the firewall I am using. Zone Alarm pro.  If I turn off Zone Alarm completly it seems to work as it should.  Even if I put my server in the trusted zone it doesnt work, straaange.

But maybe one you wiz'es could speculate on what alerts Zone Alarm to do such a thing: it must block something that groupmanager does, but no other script code in Coppermine.

Zone Alarm causes problems with a lot of web scripts, PHP/ASP/Perl/etc.  It all boils down to how you have Zone Alarm set up, if you did a clean install of Zone Alarm or you did an upgrade, if you have a router in addition to Zone Alarm, etc.

Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do.  A Google search for Zone Alarm php scripts pulled up a lot of posts, and even if they aren't targeted at Coppermine the information is still good.  I recommend Googling and trying those recommendations.
