Mambo And Coppermine .. can be together ???

HI ..
I m new here ... so dont mind if i m posting at wrong place  ..

i have mambo cms at my site and its working fine (say ...mydomain.com)...
i have installed 4images as well in subdomain ...(say   ... pics.mydomain.com) ..

THE THING IS .... i want that if a user is registered  using  Mambo he should be able to use coppermine with same id and pwd ......... and otherwise  ........
is this possible ??

since i dont have much things with 4images  ..so i can even re-install it  ... so guys ... help me out  ...

but at least some one could correct it .......... or could give me a reply  ......... i really need both of them " Mambo CMS and Coppemine" .........

and u know... users dont liek to register again and again .......
