How do I access this file to change the values???  Will changing the value of max_input_time allow me to upload files?

    Here is the error:

    No file was uploaded !

If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

Did you actually read the stickies in this forum, and follow the suggestions in the faq?

Marking invalid until you've had a chance to read them and try thier suggestions.

Please don't double post, I put your other post in the crap bin.

Also use a better subject line than "please help" put a short description of the problem you are ACTUALLY having.

I commend you on at least FINDING the right board for your problem, however you should always read and follow the stickies before posting.

Sorry about that...

How do I check the file permission.  I tried going through the online file manager as well as my ftp connection.  I googled the info, and it just explains how it works.  I also tried taking the steps it lists about doing it, but it was a no go.

I understand I must change the values to either 777 or 755, but how do I go about doing this???

donnoman

Usually the easiest way is with a good ftp application.

Here's a good page to look for more info:

http://www.stadtaus.com/en/tutorials/chmod-ftp-file-permissions.php

There are some cases where hosts restricts the ftp clients ability to chmod, in those cases you will either have to use your hosts control panel if one is provided, or you will have to contact the host itself and request them to make the changes to your folders. YMMV

I also changed the subject of your message.

I would like to change the value from -1 to its' required 60.  I would like to know what file contains that value.

This is inquiery from the problem of not being able to upload any pictures. I have already changed premissions to 777.

I guess you're refering to a section of your phpinfo file, and the answer is easy: that's not something you can set up in coppermine, it is set up on your webserver (in php.ini) - you can only change that if the server is yours to administer. If it isn't contact your webhost if you must, but I don't think the issue is related to this setting.
You have been double posting and told you mustn't. You also mustn't start a new thread for each and every posting you make, as the issue addressed in all of your postings is about the same issue, so I'm merging all of your postings. Use some common sense and respect board rules!
