hehe.... ooopsy

thanx a lot :D

got another related-question:
I want to make it so that after a user has registered, he/she has to wait for the admin to give approval of his registration.  Not just confirm his email.  I want to also confirm his registration.

purpose: That way I can keep out random people registering to view the pictures.

*edit:
I decided to create a new group called "Approved" and renamed "Registered"  to "Awaiting Approval" and set the persmissions like the Banned users group.  This is a nice way around it, but... the administrators are not included in the group, so will they be left out? or does "Can only be viewed by (Approved)"  also include Administrators?
and also, the "Awaiting Approval" group can see the names of the albums and stuff, but they can't view the pics.. I want to print out a message saying they have to wait for my approval to view them, so they don't think it is just empty :)

thx  :)

do not try to hijack a thread, especially not a thread where a particular mod is being discussed.

I split your posting from http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=3503.20

ok sorry,
I was gonna move it to permissions thread, but it kind of seemed on the same track
thx

well...
I answered one of my questions:  Admins can also view those albums
and I can set the registered users into the new group, but they still remain in the old "Registered" (now Awaiting Approval) group
and do not show up as "Approved" and their quota is for registered and not the approved group

instead of fiddling with the groups I recommend you set the activation link to be sent to the admin instead of the user. This way, you have full control who actually becomes a registered user. This has been asked before, please search the board for a hack that will accomplish this.
