hey ya'll.

Was wondering if it is possible to have the image (userpics) directory on another drive other than having it in the same drive and dir as the coppermine install.

I am using coppermine on both Freebsd and on a Windows server, and would love to know if this is possible under both OS's.

I like to keep databases and images on a separate, much larger drive.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply gaugau...

i knew i forgot something: To search the OLD board...crimany! :P

Although...the threads you posted all talk about retrieving data from a remote host.  I just want to have the images on the same host but on a different drive.

I assume this is the same complex issue??

Thanks again.

I'd go for another option: keep the coppermine install on the larger drive as well; you can share it to the web easily. Separation would mean different webshares (in the best case: subdomains) which causes problems as well.
I simply don't know (because I haven't heard of anyone trying this), but if you're really inside server config I'd say it sounds doable.

Please update us on your progress.
