SAFE MODE & Other Errors

My friend owns a Coppermine gallery at http://dorihartley.camena.org but it wont let her upload any pictures because it is in SAFE MODE and when we go to BATCH ADD PICTURES we get these error messages:

What does that mean and how can we fix it?
