Another Boring Integration Question

I don't know if this is the right board or not but giving it a shot.

I installed CPG 1.3.2 today and as best I can tell, itworks fine as a stand alone.

I also use SMF 1.0.1 and the forum is running as it should.

And of course, tehre is a portal system.MK Portal M.04 which is perfectly integrated with SMF.

I would at least like to be able to pass the userid and password for login from portal(which is also the SMF forum login) to Coppermine. I ahve no php knowledge but am not afraid to root around and follow instructions.

Anyone got some tips,  clues, hints, instructions they are greatly appreciated.
