I've performed all the necessary steps but when I log in using my phpbb's username and password in coppermine, it says there *** Couldn't log in. Try again ***. I've installed both on the same database but different user. It is strange, I followed exactly what it was written here http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#integrating but it seemed to be not working as it should be. Please advice. Thanks.

Could you please clarify the user situation? There are 2 different types of user. One is for the database, and another is for the applications. Which ones are same/different?

The user for the database is different. The user for the application are both different as well.
