Hello,

I had no problems batch uploading pictures a week ago, but all of the sudden I can't. When I attempt to batch add, the following message comes up, but  no directory options pop up to upload files to.
This function allows you to add a batch of file that your have uploaded to your server by FTP.

Select the directory where you have uploaded your files

All of my pictures are in the albums folder, and not the userpics (as I read with other posts' troubleshooting)  ???
I can upload files one at a time, but would like to get the batch add working again.

Thanks for your help ahead of time!

post a deep link to a file you uploaded using batch-add.

Same problem.  Same error message.  I can't "select a directory where I uploaded my files".

Here are some deep links to 4 subdrirectories where the users have been uploading files to be added later to CM:
http://www.yicc.org/images/gallery/
http://www.yicc.org/images/gallery/youthevents/
the above two are just directories.  actual images appear in the following deep links
http://www.yicc.org/images/gallery/youthevents/Carnival%202004/
http://www.yicc.org/images/gallery/youthevents/Mural2005/
http://www.yicc.org/images/gallery/youthevents/Sushi2004/

Please advise.  I basically want to point to those directories to "grab" the photos that have been FTP'd to the server, though not yet inserted into CopperMine.

Thanks in advance.

Well, Coppermine looks in the album directory during the batch add process.  If you change The album directory from albums/ to gallery/ (in the config settings), you will see your directories.

Is there any reason why your Coppermine members don't just use the web interface and/or XP publishing to upload their pictures to your gallery?  Personally, I think it's too dangerous to allow FTP access to my site.

Re FTP, I gave the users FTP access only to specific directories for their images so they can't trash code.

I'll see about moving those directories to under the album directory to see what happens and then instruct the users to use that to see if it works.

Bear in mind the only person that can add pictures uploaded via FTP is the admin.  Normal users can only upload via the web interface/XP publisher.

grant me FTP access to your site and see it hacked in no time ;)
