First time Coppermine user; it looks fantastic and I can't wait to get it tweaked all the way I want it. I played with 1.3.0b4 offline extensively so I understand how Coppermine works. However, when setting the gallery offline in 'Config', the preference doesn't seem to "stick". Have I missed a step in installing? Everything else works fine.

Coppermine will recognize the Admin if the cookie is still active, and it will let the admin in.
"Then, Fletch," that bright creature said to him, and the voice was very kind, "let's begin with level flight . . . ."

Hi hyperion,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not dense though ;) and checked after having logged out and removed the cookie. Seeing that the board was offline, I decided that I had forgotten to set the preference, and went back and set it. Then checked, and it reset itself to online :p

Maybe the page is cached in your browser? Please provide alink for us to check...

I can give an admin login via PM if you need it. I just can't set the thing offline :p

It appears you heavily modified your coppermine install - I can't see the version display for example. Did you try with another browser/machine? What coppermine version are you actually running?

Yes, it's hacked up and skinned down, but it's just 1.3.0.

I'm also having this issue at http://cgi.pyrah.com/coppermine
It just doesn't seem to want to stick, the rest works fine.

use a tool like phpMyAdmin to let you take a direct look into your database. Browse the table yourCopperminePrefix_config and look for "offline". If it's "0", change it to "1" and check if your coppermine gallery appears to be offline then. Make sure to be logged out of coppermine when checking the offline status.

Thanks for your reply GauGau. I could not find that name / value pair in my config table, so I added it. Now I can set the gallery offline just fine! :/

Seth

Can I post as a guest an IP of the guy would cracked my forums last night?

Dale

Was waiting for Duffman to confirm his ip from my forums to his acount here and hopefully shut his down, hate to others deal with this garabage.

Ah, thanks. I had the same problem in v1.31 (couldn't set Coppermine offline)

Ich checked _config and could't find the "offline" statement either. I had to add it manually and now setting Coppermine offline works. Has this glitch been fixed in v1.32?

Guys,

In Release 1.3.2 this is still an issue.

Workaround: Adding manually the value-pair.

Cheers

Nibbler

It has been fixed for the next version.

I just had this happen on my cvs install of stable; you can just run update.php and it creates the name/value pair you need.

Where do I make this change ? Running 1.3.2.

Thanks!

replace yourgallery with your real URL, and replace coppermine with its real name.
