Hello, I am new to this software and I had a question. I tried to upload some pictures into any random category that I have created for the members, but I couldn't. I kept getting this message: "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files" - I have no idea why it's doing that. Can it be possible that the Admin upload Quota is set to 0KB? Doesn't that represent unlimited disk usage quota? If it helps to look at the site for some reason, just go to www.ionmac.com and click on gallery on the left. Maybe it's the skin options? I'm using the "mac ox x" skin, which is supposed to resemble the Mac OSX Operating System. Thanks for all the help I receive beforehand....

The actual gallery page is at http://www.ionmac.com/gallery/ - there's no point in sending people to your start page and then find their way through your navigation.
You can not upload to "random images" - this is a "meta album" that just draws random pics from the category/album you're currently in. You (as admin) should have unlimited quota and should be able to upload to all existing public galleries.

So, what do you think I should do? Should I edit something in the configuration of the gallery? Enable or disable something? Do something in the permissions? Change the 0KB to my desired size in the "Groups" section, or what? I am not familiar with this gallery software as of yet, so, I need proper guidence. Thank you.

Send me a PM that contains:
  • a link to this thread
  • a link to your page
  • and admin user account (username and password)
and I'll look into this.

@everybody else who reads this thread: do not send me PMs, unless I request them to be sent, like I just did to Lasha. Unrequested PMs will be ignored (or you will even get a rude reply).

Well, actually, you haven't created any albums. You have set up 2 public categories and renamed the "user galleries" to "Anything Else", but you hav not created one album. This is how coppermine works: categories can contain sub-categories and albums, but not files. Albums can contain files (but no sub-albums).
If you (as admin) want to create an album within the user gallery section (renamed to "Anything Else"), go to "albums" from the admin menu, choose "*My Gallery*" from the dropdown field "Select category", press the button "New", rename the album as you wish and then press "Apply modifications". Then you will have a user gallery, where only you (as admin) can upload to. If you want to create an album everyone can upload to, do as suggested above, but choose a public category from the dropdown list. After you created this public album, edit the properties of this particular album (allowing public uploads there). Finally, go to the "groups" section and set "Can upload files" to yes for the registered group.
This is all explained in the documentation that comes with coppermine, before posting any more questions I recommend you read it carefully.

I am getting a similar error, only my admin menu will not show up. I do have an album created at www.bonmarcheburmese.com/photos I just posted a new topic on this if you would rather answer there...
