The aim field won't allow me to enter my AIM number , which is in fact a special case of iChat AIM identity, which goes chueewowee@mac.com

(there are others, it might well be extended to take more characters)

Not sure about the terminology:
User profile (for this board, inc. all groups) , meaning  my profile, which includes things like my URL, ICQ number etc..
"It's never too late to have a happy childhood."

Then that doesn't have to do with coppermine. I'll move this out of cpg support.

Well, this would have to be asked over at the SMF forum (SMF is the board software we use), there might be a hack to allow larger fields in the AIM profile, but quite frankly: I don't care about the AIM field, as I don't believe in posting messenger data publicly anyway. Dev team members here on this board will definitely not give you support over messenger.
My suggestion is: leave the field blank, it won't be used anyway except by harvesting spiders.

P.S. Marking this thread as "invalid"

That's fine. This wasn't a complaint or anything like that!  I  thought I'd bring it to your attention as moderators, in case you want that kind of feedback. Sorry, I couldn't find anywhere better to post it for your attention.

oh, posting this type of questions / requests is perfectly OK on the "general discussion" board, that's what it is meant to be used for.
