Here is my ?...I read the tutoral, changed the MOD things to 755 and tried the 777, same problem.  I downloaded the WS_FTP and see where you change the MOD #'s, but I do not see an edit folder and don't know how to add it or is just simply making a new folder enough?  And if so then next steps?  I have never done this before and have been working on a fix and reading messages for hours now.  :-[  Thank you all for your wonderful help.  Amy

You've already been told how to find your version number. You are using 1.3. You posted in the 1.2 board. Please be more careful where you post things. It takes time to move things around.

Topic moved accordingly.

I'm sorry but all these versions and numbers, codes, all that is lost to me.  i don't understand any of it.  And there are so many different places to post and move, I don't know what goes where.  anyways, instead of just telling people that their ? are posted incorrectly you could have just told me to make a new folder under albums called "edit" and then post all of them to the 755, then it would have been solved, instead I figured it out at 4:30 am :\ , I think sometimes the helpers here think we the users are dumb b/c we don't understand all these features and what we need to do to make the thing work correctly and i dont' think that is fair. :) anyways, thanks.

Congratulations.  You took advantage of the search function on this board and found a post that solved your problem.

This isn't paid help, so don't expect us to repeat ourselves over and over for your benefit.  If you want that, feel free to put me on retainer and I'll answer every question you have.
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

I think sometimes the users here think we are their slaves. We spend countless unpaid hours developing and improving this application, and provide support. Compared to other applications--paid and unpaid--Coppermine provides great support. I don't think that is fair to answer the same simple questions hundreds of times. Some users think their time is more valuable than ours. So instead of reading the instructions and searching the forums, they want us to give up our time to them.

Anyway, thanks.
