I am using the latest version of Coppermine in standalone mode. I gave my users a total of 2048K in space allotted. When one my users tries to upload his images, it says that cannot because it will exceed his 2MB limit. When you add up his individual files, they add upto about 800k yet when I look in the control panel, it shows he is using 1917K.

Help!!

BTW, I am using GD2, not ImageMagic

Are you counting the size of the original file + the size of the resized file + the size of the thumbnail ?

Charles Scott

I don't know. When a user edits his files in Coppermine and it shows a file size, what does the file size represent? The tunmbnail? the medium image? The large image?

Nibbler

That is the size of the file that the user uploaded.

Charles Scott

OK, so if it is just telling the user how big the files are he uploaded, how can the user determine how much space is being taken by the thumbnails, medium images and large images? How can the user determine how much space he is using in his gallery and what is taking how much space?

Nope. Their profile just gives their name, date joined and group they are in.

You did not answer my question tho. How is the total gallery size calculated?

Charles Scott

OK, I see that when the use goes to their profile, they see the amount of space their gallery is taking. Is there a way to put this information at the top of the page when they choose to "Edit" their gallery?
