Japanese version - cannot display the date correctly?

Hi,
I noticed that my web site (CPG 1.3) doesn't display correctly the date in the Japanese version. (I'm talking about the dates displayed under each picture)
I don't have this issue in English or French.
The Year and Month are displayed correctly but instead of the day, "%d" is displayed.

I couldn't locate in the script where the issue could be (I just looked at the Jap localization file but couldn't find the issue...)
