putting pictures in 2 different albums... Can I do this?

Hi,  Love coppermine and I'm trying to break my gallery into two different types of categories.

Its an Arkansas Razorback photo gallery and I want to break down Photos by year. 
1890s, 1900s, 1910s, etc

Then By legends.
Matt Jones, Frank Broyles, Lance Alworth, etc.

So I have Pictures of matt Jones in my 2001,  2002,  2003,  2004 albums and want to also put them in another album as well just named Matt Jones.
When I try to do this now it gets the "DP" error.  Can I do this without just reloading all the pictures again in another album folder?

In the upcoming CPG version 1.4.x it's possible to do what you describe here, - but not with the 1.3.x version.

In 1.4.1 onwards, - you would enter a keyword, like "Matt Jones" on the relevant images in the albums where they currently are, - and then you'd create a new empty album, - specifying "Matt Jones" as one the album keywords, - and all images with this specific keyword will be shown in this album.

With 1.3.x and before I think you will have to physical rename the files before uploading them again....  So either wait for the general release,- or try the current beta if you can't wait (the beta comes with no warranty or support....)

I'm 'testing' 1.4.1 at the moment, - doing exatly this, - I do motorsport, -and put all images in albums per day.... Then I specify different keywords on the images, - like 'cars', 'drivers', 'pitarea' or whatever, - sometimes several keywords, - and then a collection of empty albums with the different keywords in, - so the 'user' have access to the entire range of shoots for the day, - as well as access to all 'pit' related images, - independant of which day they are taken.. and I only upload the images once.

at http://teamdba.igel.it you can press "Galleri" on the left, - and then there are 3 'categories', - the top have images in it, - the second will be filled next raceday, - but the third, - callled "Kategorier" has actually only one image in it (just to get a image for the 'album', - the rest is filled with the images from the different other albums using keywords.

As Kiig stated, this feature will be in CPG 1.4.x. Until then, if you need to have the same pic in more than one album, then yes as you stated you will need to re-upload the picture.
