Unable to set'offline' to '0'

I have been trying take my newly installed Coppermine installations offline.

First I tried to do it from the control panel. Each time I logged in as administrator, I would set it to offline. And each time I come back it is still online.

Next, I tried the suggestion here that I set the value of 'offline' to '0' through the SQL comand line editor. Still no luck.

Next, I went into the SQL editor itself. I found that each time I tried to set the value to 0, it would come back to 1.

Obviously, this is hardwired in. What am I doing wrong?

Please run the update.php file by appending that file name to your gallery URL.
