getting broken Images when i try to batch add

I uploaded my pictures just Like I have done with everything else in my gallery.  Now when i ass pictures and try to do a batch add I get broken images.  When i click the broken image files a popup come sup and shows the picture.  But it doesnt show like they usually would.  It is just a broken picture image.

Why is it doing this.  I ahve made every file in the directory chmod to 777 and it still doe it

Can somebody please tell em why.

PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick is installed
