Language errors

After upgrading to version 1.33 (recommended)
I now have an error message appear when any language alternative is selected:

Internal Server Error, this is an error with your script, check your error log for more information.

the url in the address bar is: http://www.xxxxxxx.net/execscriptdir/php.cgi?cat=3&lang=french

My hosting company says that this is incorrect.

As I am quite new to .php   have absolutely no idea where I can correct this, can anyone help please.
