albums have disappeared

for some reason, my albums have disappeared all of a sudden. the categories are still there and they still count the number of albums in each category but when i enter the category, nothing comes up. just the template. i tried repairing the tables through phpmyadmin, but no luck. any ideas? appreciate the help.

sorry. dumb question. i accidentally removed alblist from "The content of the main page" in the config. i put it back and albums came back.
