I am new to Coppermine, building an Online Musician Community.  I noticed that when the images are displayed in the random/scrolling blocks, image file extension is also displayed.   I do not want the file extension, and default image name being displayed to the public/private members.   Is there anyway to change this?

Also, I was using the GD compression, and attempted to upload a .gif image, and it states that it does not support it!?!?  So, I swithched over to ImageMagik and works fine... that is lesser of my problems though....

Can you post a link to show where this information is being displayed ?

the usage of the term "scrolling blocks" suggest that you're using a nuke port, which goes unsupported. Do as suggested and post a link
