i have uploaded pictures by transfer them in a new directory unter coppermine/album and inserted them by using the batch-action. it works fine. but: can i deled the directory, i created on the server?

No, it has your pics in it.

Coppermine does not move files around when adding them to your gallery.  You must not move or delete those files.
