Hello has all,

I use a cobalt raq4 with php 5 and mysql 4.
the installation of coppermine was held perfectly, and it functions well, except…
that I did not access with the administration control !, there is no link which is displayed for the admin.page
When I log as a admin, it accepts and a page puts to me which does not have any link of administration, however no error messages appears… :(

thank you for your assistance.

What if you switch to the classic theme? Would the admin links work? Also make sure that you are in admin mode, rather than user mode, even when logged in as admin. Also, in v 1.3x, the file is config.php, not admin.php.

wait (just realized what you were writing)... so you're saying when you click admin.php, it takes you to the page without admin links. That makes sense since that link is for switching between admin and user modes. To get into admin panel, use config.php, after toggling to admin mode because you will see a button that says Config, if you are using English.

Thank you for your answer.

in fact I can logger like user “admin”, but the only page which functions and that of a simple user!
no link admin on the pages !!!

If I try to connect me directly on admin.php, Ca says to me that I am not authorized, whereas I “am well loggĂ©” and that there is one account for the moment, that of the administrator…

thank you for your help.

Could you please take a screenshot of the menus you see when you are logged in and post it here?

Exactly the same issue I am having.  Found somewhere else about "Clearing Cookies" , did that. Cleared Cache. No effect.  Did you get a solution to your issue?

@osb - either post in this thread or the one you created.  I don't want to waste my time keeping track of multiple threads dealing with the same topic.

Any ideas ? I don't wish to waste your time.  I will more than likely go away shortly after the solution is found.  Thanks again for your expert help in solving this seemingly easy problem.  No one has run into this?  Surely one of the creators knows of this situation, newbie error or boo-boo in design? Last post in this thread.

Create a non-admin test user, post the user/pass here.

That would require being able to first log on as an "Admin" correct?

That is the issue.  When I log in as "Admin" , I do not get the admin menu bar, therefore I can not configure the photo gallery, nor users , nor anything else for that matter.   It would appear that I am
only logged in as a "User" ,

There is no successful login at all.  You are just redirected to the main page without being logged in.  This sounds suspiciously like a cookie problem.  Have you searched for variations of can't log in?

Yes, I found my post and one other, not related.   So, cookies on the install side or??

You can open other pages though right?  You do get the "Welcome" page?

Strange.  Not sure what the next step is.  I have already re-installed a half dozen times from fresh zip files.

Thanks, Bryan
