phpbb different skins login issue

Ok, Here is my phpbb 2.0.16 forum (source from http://www.phpbb.com, which has been higly modified):

And the Image Gallery:

http://www.glitchseekers.com/image_gallery/index.php

Simple enough? The user account: test password: test5

The problem is, on the forum I edited overall_header.tpl of the default skin (Sosumi) to include a link to the image-gallery. All works well. When the user is logged in on the forum, he or she can easily go into the image-gallery without any problems (no need to log in again).

But, if he or she uses a different skin (I have only tested Subsilver...not default) and clicks the link to the image-gallery, the image-gallery displays that he or she isn't logged in and has to log in again. It works...excepts it isnt as smooth as when your on the default skin sosumi (I mean logging in twice).

I don't understand why it seems to only work on the default skin...any help is much appreciated!

You are setting your forum cookies with the domain www.glitchseekers.com

This means they are only readable if you include the www when you go to the gallery or the forums.

Therefore I'm guessing you set the link differently in different skins.

You either need to allways link to the gallery using the www or you need to set the forum's cookie domain to .glitchseekers.com, which will work both with and without the www

It turned out to be the opposite though. On the different forum skins I had to change the url to http://glitchseekers.com/image_gallery/index.php without the www

I don't know if that will help you but thanks for pointing it out and now I understand a bit better how the cookies work!!
