Hello,

CPG is fantastic. I'd like to request a feature addition for CPG to dynamically generate a thumbnal of a video file. Is it possible to extract the first frame from the video file, and render it as a JPG with the appropriate thumbnail size? I've seen it done with C# and .NET with AVI files. Don't know if this can be ported to CPG.

Thanks for the consideration!

can not be done with coppermine, as the image libraries coppermine is bound to use (GD or ImageMagick) both don't offer support for this. Not related to coppermine anyway. You have to make a difference between desktop apps and server apps anyway, there's no such thing as C# or .NET on Lunix servers  ;)

I know this is old but still relevant.

Would it be possible to modify Coppermine in such a way that when the user uploads a video file, he is given the option to select a picture to upload as a thumbnail?
