Uploads visible only for uploader and admin ?

I am looking for a way that only the uploader itself and the admin can view the album with pictures that have
been uploaded. Neither anonymous users nor registered ones should be able to see the files / albums that have
been uploaded by those users who are allowed to upload. I would like to be able to enable and disable upload
facility for each user. I have created a group "upload", but I am a bit confused with the possible settings.

Can anyone help me how to do that?

Enable private albums, and the set the albums to be visible to the owner only. You can have 2 groups, upload and non-upload and switch users between them.
