problem with the ftp

i installed the gallery on my phpnuke website.
and i've got a pb: i can't use the ftp function to upload SEVERAL photos!
indeed, uploading with browser works, and when i upload one photos in a dir, the agllery detects it and includes it in the gallery. But when there are more than one file, it doesn't work i've a blank page!
can someone help me please!!
i use php nuke 6.9.1 fr and my server is on jexiste.fr
just another info: i've been using an older version of coppermine before, but not for this webste and i've never met any problems....
