Hysteria,

I think you would get a lot better response regarding this step if you posted it on the forums at 100Webspace.   Before running the coppermine install.php,  do a search on 100Webspace forums for "imagick" or "GD".  I believe that 100webspace uses imagick and you will need the path to imagick when your run coppemine's installation.

"imagick" is not ImageMagick.  That is a PHP extension of ImageMagick.  Coppermine does not use imagick extensions, it uses standard command-line ImageMagick interface.  You will still need the location of the ImageMagick convert binary.  Most hosts provide GD2, which provides excellent image conversion utilities and they are built into PHP.

kegobeer,

I was browsing through the forum pages on 100Webspace and they mentioned that they do not support GD and that they support Image Magic (This was in reference to an attempted Coppermine install).  I thought this a bit unusual, but felt it was worth mentioning.  This is why I posted the previous message.  I didn't post the path here because it might be more webhost specific and there was some confusion as to what the real path was for 100Webspace.

regards,

Dennis

I just wanted to clarify that imagick is not ImageMagick, to prevent any confusion.

upload speed depends on your internet connection as well. If you're on ADSL, your upstream (the speed to upload files) will be considerably slower than your downstream (the speed to download files from the web or browse the internet). Patience, grasshopper  ;)
