Lycos statistics in anycontent.php

Hello

I'd like to include some statistics that my host (Lycos) provides. What I have to do is to put " <script src="http://hit.tripod.lycos.co.uk/tracker.js"></script> <script>LycosHit()</script> " on the main page. I thought it would be a good idea to put it in anycontent.php, but it doesn't work. I can put some words there, but the script doesn't work.
Could you please help me how to do that?
