and there are a lot of problems now!
As you can see here -> http://fotoalbum.freshn.de
Do you know the mistake?

Pictures are missing and there are pictures in the wrong albums.

Genzo-sama,

Double check the paths in your Config.inc.php file in the Coppermine/Include folder.
Also double check the path in the CONFIG menu for "Target address for the 'See more pictures' link in e-cards"  in the General Settings section at the top.

Hi!

I checked the paths in the config.inc.php again - no mistakes.
And changed the target address in the general settings to the new domain - http://www.dein-forum.de/fotoalbum to http://fotoalbum.freshn.de
Still the same problems.

Could there be a problem because I use a subdomain?

artistsinhawaii

Shouldn't be a problem whether you use a subdomain or not, since coppermine only reads from the absolute paths in the config.inc and config menu settings.

Check the albums folders to make sure those pictures exist in them and can be viewed by your browser.

Looking at your site I would almost think something went wrong while coping the files.

The missing files are not only not visible they aren't actually on the server aswell.

If theire not on the server they can't be displayed ;)

Do a compare directory (old site vs new) you'll probably find lots of missing files

One Problem is that it changed the fileend JPG to jpg. That's the reason why the programm can't find the picture.
How can i fix this problem? Do you have any ideas?

I tested to rename the pictures on my FTP-Server (example: 0~1.JPG to 0~1.jpg). Now you can see the picture in full size but the preview still doesn't work.

Still doesn't sound right to me.

right click on the thumbs that don't show up and click "properties".  Make sure that the path shown is exactly the same as where the file is physically.

Yep now I see your problem indeed its case sensitive in your case.

The file do exist only with capitals instead of lower cases in the jpg part.

I'm afraid just renaming all the jpg parts is your solution. Shouldn't be so much work with converting to upper or lower cases

For example: the thumb path is http://fotoalbum.freshn.de/albums/userpics/thumb_1%7E0.jpg jpg
but the filename is http://fotoalbum.freshn.de/albums/userpics/thumb_1%7E0.JPG JPG

What bothers me is that I can't figure out how that got to be uppercase in the first place.  I can't even make any of the file extensions on my computer uppercase.

Stranger still,

It isn't that the files were renamed. It's that the Database filenames were renamed. You will have to correct these in the pictures table in your coppermine database using phpMyAdmin. OR, rename those files with a lowercase jpg.

I suppose this is why it's a good idea to always use lowercase letters only when naming files for use online.

case does not matter on Windows systems, but it does matter on Lunix systems. I guess your old server was running on Windows, your new one is on Lunix. I second the suggestion of Dennis: run a query in phpMyAdmin to convert the database entries to lower case extensions.

Genzo

k, it sucks to rename the files.. :)

I have another question. The new server renamed my user account Knüps to Kn?ps. Where can I change it back?

Joachim Müller

again: phpMyAdmin. However: using special chars like Umlauts is not recommended if you want to be safe.

I searched in cpg132_users -> user_name. But I can't find the name.
