When coppermine reduces the photo size in thumbnail and second viewing the colors go all weird. This makes coppermine unusable. How can I fix what it is doing to the colors when it reduces the photo size?

Thanks, :-[

Use GD2 or ImageMagick for your image manipulation.  Sounds like you're using GD1 right now.

I just uplaoded my first images and the thumbnail and second size images are off. It seems like coppermine does something to the color when resizing the phot. It is unusable this way. Please help!

You chose the wrong version of GD. This has been asked a thousand times already, please search before posting in the future. Please refer to the FAQ. You probably have GD2 one your server, but you set up GD in Coppermine config. Change the setting in config to GD2, try uploading a new pic and check if the intermediate pic and thumb work. If yes, use the admin tools to rebuild your intermediates and thumbs with "off" colors.

I just merged three of your posting you posted all over the board, all dealing with the same issue. Alas I only found out about your triple post after kegobeer and I already had answered your question. This is an extremely unfair manner of trying to draw attention to your issue that could have easily been solved if you would have searched the docs and the board before posting. It is a waste of resources and supporter's time.
I suggest you review your attitude >:(!

My config is set to use GD2... the colors still suck. It appears as though the resize program strips the ICC profile from the images, which leaves them with a much smaller RGB gamut... I've pulled a couple of files from my FTP and re-saved them with Photoshop, keeping the same filesize, but also making sure to keep the ICC profile intact...

Also, I'm running Mac OSX, is there a version of Imagemagick that works for me? I had trouble getting it to work...
