I'm sorry if this is address somewhere else, I couldn't find it.  I have turned logging mode on, but I don't see any logs, what needs to happen for a log to be generated and what kind of data is it going to hold.

http://yoursite.tld/your_coppermine_folder/viewlog.php (link in config section, right where you enable logs). Logging means an extra load on your site, don't turn it on if you don't need it, it's meant to be used for trouble-shooting purposes. If you have no troubles, leave it off.
