I upload all of my files through FTP but none of my members do. However, right now my gallery is set to the default 1024KB upload limit. I read through the documentation you guys have on here so I contacted my host to get them to increase the upload limit. They said that it is set to 8mb, not 1024kb? How can I change this? Or am I screwed?

What upload limit are you talking about here ? Review the config and groups page settings.
