Invision 2.1 bridging questions

Can any of the CPG versions be successfully bridged/integrated with Invision 2.1.3 ?

Also, what does bridging actually do? I assume it`s where my forum members can access the gallery without needing a second username? Anything else?

It allows Coppermine to use the accounts and groups established in your forum instead of its internal user system. There is an IPB 2 bridge file for CPG 1.3 posted on the mods board and bridging to IPB 2 is built into Coppermine 1.4
