Hello,
I'm french and I'm sorry for my bad english  ::) ;D

I've juste created a website for students (pictures sharing, blogs writing and forums discussions). Actually, my website is made with a special version of PHPNuke. I think coppermine is the best photos gallery that's why I want to install it.

I know that Coppermine doesn't support PHPNuke anymore. But I have an idea to link Coppermine Standalone and PHPNuke :
Is it possible to create a module or an addon for PHPNuke which allow the admin to export users data to coppermine database (nicknames, password and email). In this case, I think there is no securtiy problem because coppermine keeps its security because the gallery is installed separatly but this is only a data exchange between 2 differents databases.  :)
For exemple, there is a such module for Menalto Gallery 2 (for those who know it).

What do you think about that ?  ???
Thanks

Joachim Müller

You're welcome to create such a tool and post it as a hack. However, the dev team won't work on such a feature, because of three reasons:
  • none of us knows phpnuke
  • we belive in the concept of bridging insteaqd of porting or exporting (which could only be a snapshot)
  • there already is a coppermine version for a nuke clone (dragonfly)
