[url] tags apparently don't work

Sorry if this has been covered before; I searched the forums but didn't see it mentioned.

Some of my images are gif so what I did was upload a jpg version of it and link to the gif in the description.  I did the same thing to a video I had in my gallery and it worked great.  That was before upgrading to 1.4.x.  Now that I've upgraded, the url tags no longer create a link.  Any idea what's wrong?

If you have an issue, you need to post a direct link to demonstrate it so supporters don't have to spend time looking for it.

Okay, I thought I remebered being able to click on the link even from the thumbnails page in 1.3.x.  Sorry about that.

I miss that feature from 1.3.x too. It was helpful to use the links from the album view. But what I really miss is the formatting of the text in album view.
