It would be nice if cpg could create thumbs at anytime admin request it, and not only on uploading...

Go the admin menu and select - Resize pictures. Here you can rebuild thumbs and or intermediate pictures one album at a time...

You mean with the util.php...
That's what I've tried, but it doesn't work if the thumbs are completely deleted. It cannot continue and gives an error "pictures are not available" or something like that...

Are you sure the permissions for the folder are set correctly?

I have just tried deleting some thumbs from my own album and coppermine rebuilds them correctly.

Do the database list the correct placement/filename of the pictures?

my albums (userpics and its subdirs) are set to 755...

Warning: imagejpeg(): Unable to open 'albums/userpics/xxx/thumb_xxx.jpg' for writing in /home/xxxxxxx/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 185

Warning: chmod(): No such file or directory in /home/xxxxxxx/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 191

Warning: getimagesize(albums/userpics/xxx/thumb_xxx.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxxxxxx/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 193
Error creation of: $thumb

That's what I get... I tried again.

The database was untouched... when I recreated the thumbs locally on my HD an uploaded them where I had them before the deletion , everything was normal again...
