FATAL ERROR - Memory Size

I have an image which is heavily viewed and commented on (21,000 views).
When trying to view the images main display page for commenting, it displays the following error right when its about to show the comments:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3112960 bytes) in /home/virtual/site394/fst/var/www/html/include/themes.inc.php on line 2030

And then the page abruptly aborts.
Turning on debug does the same, and you cannot see the debug info.

Please advise.
