Hey...
after some resolved problems, I was able to upload my pictures on FTP and then, "batch add" them....but now, suddenly, I get this message:

"PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library..."

I tryed everything, but I don't know what to do anymore.....

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pleaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thanks,

Julia

edit: never mind, you might instead need to check with your sever admin for the path to the GD library.

@Jet_Jaguar: Path to Image Magick matters, path to GD does not, as it comes as PHP module.
@judranger: Please refer to the GD articles on the FAQ on how to find out what version of GD (if any) you have.
It might turn out that your webhost has "played" with server settings - contact them for details.

P.S. I would have answered earlier if there would have been less E's in your request. "HEEEELP, PLEEEAAASE" just makes me less inclined to help... (see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php?q=howtoask#howtoask )

Hello,

I am facing the same problem judranger has.
The Server has GD (bundled, 2.0.15 compatible)  and it is still not working. The testcript of imagevue (another php based gallery) gives some reasonable info about what could be wrong:

QuoteGD2 test: PHP is installed and you can run imageVue.

However, an extension gd2, which is required for creating preview images(thumbnails) is not enabled. You will have to create preview images(thumbnails) manually with the included droplet or any batch processing tool.

I alreaday contacted the Server administrators but till now they did not find the misstake...

I would greatly appreciate any input on what could be wrong in the server settings...

It does not create the jpeg and imagecreatefromjpeg is not there, but I knew that already from the imagevue script output. What could be wrong? The server admin wants to help but so far was sure that everything was installed correctly...

hyperion

Actually, it tells you that the JPEG library is either not there or not installed properly.  The server admin needs to review GD installation procedures.
