Notification mail to users

I hava just installed coppermine 1.4.5 from scratch but not everything is working right.
I get a notification mail when a new user signs in and can activate his account,
but no mail is sent to the user although the message for the sent mail is shown.
I've used a couple of emails but no result!

The same problem is shown when a user requests his password.
Again the message is shown...that his password has been sent, but no message is ever sent?

So it seems you can get the email, but another user can't. Is it only one user or all of them? Can you ask them to check their spam folder?

Before I get the pages on public I just test them myshelf.
So I log out from admin and try to register as a normal user with a different mail from the admin's account.
I have tried to register several times, using three different e-mail accounts on yahoo, hotmail, and gmail.
Well yahoo mail seems to work fine , gmail get some time (two-three hours later) before it delivers the mail
and hotmail is not getting the mail at all, not even in the bulk!
Any suggestions for the last one?

For the last one, can emails sent outside of Coppermine be received by hotmail? Say you use your regular email client to send from the same email account.

You're right! Hotmail does not take emails from my mail server nor even through from Outlook!
So it must be a problem with my server,or hotmail? My provider uses Horde as a server.
