(Hopping my karma won't get hurt  ;) )
I tried to install the gallery yesterday following all instructions but
i have the same problem, "Fatal error:" on every page.
then i tried it on another FTP that i'm not using atm and it's running well...
the FTP i want to install it in is currently used for a phpBB forum alread using my mysql server

(from phpMyAdmin:
...
cpg143_users
cpg143_votes
cpg143_vote_stats
phpbb_auth_access
phpbb_banlist
phpbb_categories
phpbb_config
...)

My MySQL server is running good,
So i'm wondering if there's any problem for the gallery to use it. Would you know about that?

The Website
The Gallery folder
Great Job btw, keep going!  :)

are those tables you refer to all that are being shown? Post a screenshot of phpMyAdmin that shows all coppermine tables you have. I suspect you made an error when installing. Is the gallery that shows the error a fresh install or an upgrade?

icefman

screenshot, i just wanted to explain.
It's a fresh install, discovered coppermine yesterday  :D

ok, make sure that none of the files got corrupted during upload: get a fresh package, unzip it and FTP upload everything, overwriting the existing files on your server. Make sure to use the proper FTP mode. Post what FTP app you're using.

( Thx for answers  :) )
well, i already did it 3/4 times and even trying with different sources for the zip, using FileZilla.
Following your idea i just tried to do so with another old FTP app, LeechFTP.
Still doesn't work  :'(

Some more informations:
-During the install i've a warning about ../../modules/ but i guess it's a test about Nuke...
-The other FTP is runnig correctly, see, the only differences is the one not running is in a subfolder and there are nothing else but the cpg143_ in the database...

does free.fr fullfill the minimum requirements? Afaik there have been issues with pages hosted on free.fr, at least for older versions of cpg. Is the other page hosted on free.fr as well? I must confess that I'm puzzled and not sure what to recommend. Please search the french support forum for similar issues (I can't do this for you, as my French is a bit "rusty").

icefman

Cool, I ddn't notice the french forum  :)
(the other one is a free.fr too...)
sorry for puzzling you  ;D

i'm not sure i'll have enough time more for this morning but I'll go there and try to find some answers tonight,
If i manage to fix the whole thing in any way i'll post here.
Thx for answers and helping, Very nice team ! :D

icefman

Woooohoooo!  :D
Found the answer, seems that it'll remember you smth as i saw in the post...
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24876.0

the problem was my database name in the confing.inc.php which should have been tar_ladm instead of tar.ladm (->my fault).
the other FTP was named theallguns so there were no problems...
i'll explore this great gallery as soon as i come back home tonight.
Thx again, Great Website and Great Project! (and sry for bothering and puzzling you...:D )
