howdie help board :)

fairly new to joomla. but i hope that you can help me.

i tried to install teh commper mine: CPG_1_4_2_RELEASE_JOOMBLA.zip.

nibbler pointed out to me that this isnt coppermine related... think hes right i found it out by my self..
it is a paid thingy right..
I tried the official 1.4.3 from coppermine.sf.net  (cpg1.4.3.zip)
SAME PROBLEM plzhelp :)

when i tried to install it as admin in my joomla 1.07 i get this error message

Upload Error, Failed to move uploaded file to /media directory.

can any one help me..

I use Wamp server instead of ISS.. ??

als tried local instal as admin on the win 2003 server webedition.

can any one help me..

plz help ..

This is nothing to do with Coppermine. Seek support from the creator of the software you are trying to use.

hehe.. sorry nibbler.. i wont use the paid coppermine thingy..

i already used the cpg1.4.3.zip from sf.. same problem.. plz help

ehhh oops.. maybe I wasnt paying attention.

nibbler are you talking about me using WAMP ?? instead of some other server ?? :)

i am thinking it has something to do with the rights and stuff.. but plz help .. just a little.
firtst trying to figure out joomla and coppermine. after that ill be trying it on a proper linux box with apache..

Follow the installation instructions provided in the Coppermine package.

ok sorry for not RTFM :)..( i did a little but wasnt shure)

ok so probably it has something to do with:

# CHMOD the "albums" and "include" folders in your Coppermine directory to 755 (or 777, depending on your server config) - this step is very important and must not be overlooked! 

ok als you know i use wamp.. is there a thread about wamp with my problem ?? cause maybe this topic should than be moved ??

RTFM - all of it, at least the sections that apply to your issues. Supporters are reluctant to help if users are told to read the docs and they still don't.

You don't install coppermine using some third party tool like the joomla installer, you should do just as suggested in the docs. You don't install coppermine into a sub-folder of joomla, but into a separate folder within your webroot - name it "gallery" or similar. Bridging comes later, when everything is working as expected in coppermine standalone.
