hi,
i upgraded my galery to cpg 143 but somehow it gave me a fatal error after few days
so i saved my albums folder
and deleted both cpg 132 and 143 including databases everything
(i might have back up) anyways
i installed the cpg143 again and replaced the albums folder but it does not see any of the user's pics or the users
is there anyways to restore this album file so cpg143 would see the users or at least the uploaded pictures.
thank you very much

No way, you need the database information for Coppermine to work. The users and pic info are stored in the database. Restore from a backup and use the support board to fix your original issue.

serdas

i deleted the db to create new one
i only have the albums folder from the ftp

Nibbler

Then all you have is a folder full of pictures. You'll need to install a new gallery and batch add them. Everything else is gone.

serdas

thanks for trying to help me
i created a new galeerybut
how would i be able to batch add them?

serdas

after this next uploads are gonna go to regular folders right
not the one that i batch add right?

Joachim Müller

http uploads will go into the userpics folder, other files you FTP-upload will go where you put them. Re-read the batch-add section to understand the concept.

serdas

ok i got it thank you very much
that was very fast
thanks again
