First I have to say this is an optstanding product and love using and recommending Coppermine.  I do have my first issue, I hope that this forum can help me with a xp_publish.php issue. I searched and browsed the messages to find a resolution but could not find a solution.

I have been using Coppermine for a while without any issues.  Recently I moved my sites to a new hosting provider.  I like using the XP Publish to upload files.  However, on my new host I installed Coppermine using Fantastico on two different domain and received the same issue.

I am running Coppermine v1.4.2 installed via Fantastico. The album installs without any issues and can display the site: http://www.bpyc.com/album

I DL the new registry mod and installed it into my registry:
I DL the registry mod file and it applied correctly to the registry:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\PublishingWizard\PublishingWizard\Providers\Burnham Park Yacht Club - Photo Gallery]
"displayname"="Burnham Park Yacht Club - Photo Gallery"
"description"="Photos from on and off the water."
"href"="http://bpyc.com/album/xp_publish.php?cmd=publish"
"icon"="http://bpyc.com/favicon.ico"

Using Windows Explorer, I selected "Publish the Selected Item to the Web".  The Web Publishing Wizard display my site and after trying to login to my my site I received the following error:
"The Wizard could not connect to the Internet, or the Web service returned a wizard page that is not  valid."

While trying to debug the issue I looked in my server Error Logs and saw that xp_publish.php is being called from the root directory vs. that of /album where I installed Coppermine.
[Fri Jan  6 14:55:50 2006] [error] [client 24.15.112.3] File does not exist: /home/bpyc/public_html/xp_publish.php

My server is running the the following:
WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R82
CentOS 3.6 i686 - WHM X
Kernel version 2.6.11.7.dn5.64
Machine Type i686
Apache version  1.3.34 (Unix)
PERL version  5.8.7
PHP version  4.3.11
MySQL version  4.0.25-standard
cPanel Build  10.8.1-RELEASE 82

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Update to 1.4.3 and ensure your 'URL of your coppermine gallery folder' is set correctly in config.

That looks correct.  After upgrading, post a test user/password.

Thank you both for your help.  After finding a server that had cpg1.4.3 I upgraded and it appears that the performing the upgrade from 1.4.2 to 1.4.3 worked.

Strange I guess I did not notice the version number of CPG on my old hosting provider.

I like using Fantastico to install Coppermine.  However, since it installs version 1.4.2 I am going to need to upgrade a few servers manually. As well as re-add a fwe years worth of photos.  It sucks moving sites because I loose all of the hit counts as well as the most important the comments.

Thanks!!!!!!

You will be much better off if you don't use Fantastico.  We don't recommend using it, since they are very buggy.  Download 1.4.3 from our site and install it manually.  You'll thank us in the long run.
